Virginia Earwicker
Counseling Intern (Starting May 2026)
Virginia Earwicker is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and will begin her practicum this May at Mountain River Counseling and Consulting.
She grew up as a military kid, living in multiple states across the U.S. as well as in Germany. Bend has been home for the past twenty years, including a decade spent living abroad with her family in East Africa doing cross-cultural ministry. Virginia’s background includes work in healthcare, education, and pastoral ministry, and she is also a mom to three teenagers.
Her experiences—as a military kid, ministry leader, parent, and partner—have shaped the way she shows up with people. She brings a steady, relational presence and values building trust, understanding, and genuine connection with each client. Virginia cares deeply about walking alongside people in their unique stories, offering attunement, insight, and support as they explore both their strengths and the challenges they’re facing.
She works collaboratively with clients to identify goals and better understand their history and experiences. Throughout the counseling process, she offers tools and support to help foster greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and meaningful growth.
As a counseling intern, Virginia is able to offer services to uninsured and underinsured individuals, including pro bono and reduced-fee sessions beginning this May. If you’re interested in working with her this summer, we’d love to connect.
