Adam Mendel is completing his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oregon State University–Cascades and is an intern at Mountain River Counseling and Consulting.

In 2009, Adam moved from Georgia to Oregon after completing his undergraduate degree. He has a background in education, the arts, and small business ownership. Outside of counseling, he enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors with his partner and dog, and creative hobbies.

Adam works from a person-centered foundation and focuses on building a strong, trusting relationship with his clients. He works collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences and identify what matters to them. He values slowing down, being present, and creating space for clients to explore at their own pace.

As a counseling intern, Adam offers pro bono and reduced-fee therapy for uninsured and underinsured individuals starting this June.
