Zuleka Bliss
Professional Counselor Associate
Zuleka works with individuals (aged 16+) who are coping with the impact of stress, overwhelm, and trauma—whether stemming from life transitions, anxiety, depression, systemic oppression and injustice, relationship challenges, or painful experiences that leave people feeling stuck and fragmented from themselves, others, and the world around them.
Zuleka utilizes Brainspotting to support individuals in working through trauma in a way that feels supportive and restorative. In addition, Zuleka uses concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and existentialism to support individuals in connecting with themselves and navigating the inherent difficulties that are part of the human experience.
Zuleka takes a culturally informed approach to her work, believing that the relationship between counselor and individual is of profound importance in the healing process, and tailoring her sessions to each individual's needs while holding each person’s lived experience and unique and intersectional identities with deep reverence.
Raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand), Zuleka has a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University- Cascades, and has lived and worked abroad extensively, bringing a global perspective to her work. In her spare time, Zuleka enjoys reading, exploring the world, being in her garden, and spending time with friends and family.
