Michael Caylor is a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He completed his clinical internship at Mountain River Counseling & Consulting, LLC, where he gained extensive training and hands-on experience.
Michael has worked with a wide range of individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, members of the LGBTQ+ community, children, fathers, and veterans. With nearly a year of clinical experience, he is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel they can better understand themselves and their purpose. Michael works with adults and teenagers.
Michael primarily uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which emphasizes the importance of emotions in shaping identity, relationships, and personal well-being. Through EFT, he helps clients process and make sense of their emotions, identify patterns, and develop healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others. His approach is rooted in empathy and unconditional positive regard, always collaborating with clients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Beyond his clinical work, Michael enjoys spending time with his loved ones, painting, and video games.
